Doechii Drop Collab At Louis Vuitton Show Turns Heads in Paris
Tyler, The Creator and rising star Doechii teamed up once again to debut a powerful new track, “Get Right,” during the high-profile Doechii Drop Collab At Louis Vuitton Show. The moment unfolded at the Louis Vuitton fashion show in Paris, making waves across both the fashion and music worlds.
Pharrell Williams Brings the Sound
The track was produced by none other than Pharrell Williams, who currently serves as the Men’s Creative Director at Louis Vuitton. Known for his iconic production style, Pharrell infused “Get Right” with his signature drums, creating a sound that evoked the experimental energy of Kanye West’s Yeezus era. This marks the duo’s second collaboration, following the success of last year’s “Balloon.”
A Star-Studded Fashion Week Crowd
The Paris Fashion Week crowd was packed with big names, including JAY-Z, Beyoncé, Pusha T, and Future. Adding to the excitement, the event also featured music from Clipse, enhancing the show’s edgy and culturally rich vibe.
How Tyler Discovered Doechii
Reflecting on his first encounter with Doechii‘s music, Tyler said: “I came across Doechii on a YouTube recommendation. It was the ‘Catfish’ record or ‘Nissan Altima.’ I thought, ‘What is this? Damn, this girl pretty as hell.’ Then I clicked it and I was blown away. I just kept going.”
He continued: “I was like ‘Oh my God!’ Then I DMed her like, ‘N-gga, I’m gonna need you in a few months!’ We linked, and yeah — she’s incredible. I’m so happy she [won a Grammy] and that she’s finally in people’s faces. We have to support artists who care about the craft.”
A Moment on the Chromakopia Tour
Their partnership wasn’t limited to the fashion runway. Tyler brought Doechii on stage during his Chromakopia world tour stop in Los Angeles. While the two shared the spotlight, Tyler praised her talent and authenticity: “I’m so happy she exists. We have to keep supporting everything she does. Keep supporting art.”
Doechii on Her Musical Influences
In an interview with Ebro Darden for Apple Music, Doechii revealed that Tyler, The Creator is one of her all-time favorite artists. “Lately I’ve been into a lot of MF DOOM — rest in peace,” she said. “Westside Gunn — so talented. So incredible. Tyler, The Creator, JAY-Z. I’m from the South, so I didn’t grow up on a lot of JAY-Z, but I recently went through his discography. Oh my God! His growth? Wow. So incredible. He’s so cool.”
